Christmas eve!

Merry Christmas to all in advance! Today's christmas, i do hope all of u reading my blog is not here cause u're dying of boredom but perhaps awaiting some fun moments tonite, or even tmr on Christmas! haha

I was reading the Sunday times today and it was a pleasant surprise as the nature of the news were such that they captured my interest and egged me to read on. There was no section such as World or Home and even the forum section were labelled as Inbox. I personally felt that it was innovative and perhaps it could have started sometime ago without my knowing it. However the news had interesting articles such as the restaurant with the hospital's ambience as well as light-hearted news of our PM Mr Lee's children whether they will be interested in the politics world. I feel that it was generally able to captivate my interest as it was not the usual serious world staff like the wars going on in other places even though it was likely to affect and be related to us. Today's news was somewhat similar to what the WANBAO would have in their what i feel as "news which involved more gossip". Ok, enough of the newspapers talk as i believe each and every one of those has its strengths and its own pool of ardent supporters.

Mainly the last few days i have been reading the manga Death Note and just when i tot i was reaching the end, i found out that there is still more left. Haiz thats too bad guess i'll nvr get to finish it. However it is evident that the movie will not be able to represent the manga fully unless they modify the ending to somewhat without an ending such as Kira winning over L and it ends or there may even be a next part to it. The last few days i have been sick and gave myself the liberty to not do any work as i felt watever's done will " not be up to standard and not register in my blurred mind", haha wat crap excuses i have gave myself. Now its time for lunch and i'll try to continue on wats left of my work (i barely completed around 2% of my total workload). Hopefully santa claus help my finish my work and give me 3 wishes. i'm sure the 3rd wish would be to have unlimited number of wishes. thanks :D

haha nth much to blog though cos its holiday and its stay home to do hw. though i have been slacking i'll try to start asap. haha throughout the hols, my blog has been filled with crap and rubbish. mainly grouses that u'd to bear with. i had intended to search for some interesting articles to put up but to no avail. was thinking of the stories at singapore paranomal investigators, but looked a bit scary to me though and thus haha, till nxt time.

oh yes i was supposed to go to look a shoot which took place somewhere in ang mo kio, haiz but felt guilty for gg out without doing any work. so i'm gg to start on it rite now! oops

haha i have changed to the new blog dunno wat, tink its settings or wat. anyways nth much to blog abt, though i have tried to follow the asian games but its a little weird.

weird as in i feel that the choice of events they broadcasted does not have a fixed format. is it chosen by popularity or wat? the first few days it was table tennis n bowling rite? i suppose this is chosen as our athletes are representing singapore in the asian games. however as time went by, is it becoming more random? it was not broadcasted abt the person representing singapore in the karate event the individual kata, neither was the wushu broadcasted live. they were only highlights of it. till the end the fencing were not broadcasted too, except for highlights and i happened to see the 2-9 loss of the singapore player. if tts the case why is sports like badminton n bowling n weightlifting n table tennis broadcasted? is it due to the popularity of it, or the specific timeslot for it to be broadcasted live or wat. haha seems funny isn't it? to broadcast an event as it happens to fit into the 11.00pm timeslot. it was irregular n random. haha anyways the events which i happened to see was diving n running where singapore wasn't represented at all. haha if tts the case i believe events of sparring like the karate kumite n taekwondo n boxing may have yielded a considerable number of viewers too. haha

singapore got its best ever results in the asian games though. haha congrats.

watching hajime no ippo recently, its the story of a person makunochi ippo being brought into the boxing realm. haha quite nice, i like one of the ending theme a lot. haha

entry 71: a wasted year n a lost hope

wow a year has flew past our very own eyes. in the tournament that just whizzed by ytd, its sad to say that i got 5th. in the last match i simply had no more fighting spirit left. isn't it terrible wat a yr of trg in chess club could do. without a coach, it like being without arms n legs, totally crippled. without motivation to improve and the knowledge to be imparted by the coach. our talents would start to diminish and skills accumulated over the 4 yrs in cat high would be rusty. as said by yl, its true that j1 is the peak of many of my seniors, but i have wasted j1. trgs in sch were inefficient without a coach. as i recalled, the good times were being in cat high with a good coach as i always addressed him as "lao shi". he is a special ranked referee so i suppose its quite a special rank as singapore do not have many special ranked referees.

as i stood on stage ytd, we could count the numbers of winners from cat high n ex-cat high. its was close to 10. from this it was obvious that the coachings of lao shi n the former coach from cat high was effective to the point tt after graduating from cat high the seniors continued to improve and win prizes. however in our inferior trg environment in sch, it was inevitable that even the top players that come to our sch becomes stagnant and after a yr of wasted time, starts to diminish.

cat high's still the best.
